The PRO SP+ filter sets was launched during ADIPEC, held from 13-16 November 2017.

According to Paul Sennett, general manager for gas turbine filtration division at Parker, “This new filter delivers low operating differential pressure and is precisely what our customers in the region have been asking for.”

The company further explained that the PRO SP+ filter uses FLEX Technology, consisting of flexible pleats that aim to release dust and debris.

“As customers know, the harsh conditions found in the Middle East require a filter that maintains its differential pressure (DP) for as long as possible to keep the gas turbines operating normally. The pulse-ability of the PRO SP+ allows the filter to have lower DP across the life of the filter,” said the company to the press.

Inlet filters are mostly found further down a gas turbine operator’s maintenance checklist. If the wrong filter is selected, the gas turbine performance suffers immediately. The PRO SP+ aims to help in maintaining GT output and reduce maintenance costs for users.

In addition to it, the PRO technology has been also focus on resulting compressor performance and protection in real-world installations in harsh environments, aiming to make this technology reliable for gas turbine operation in the Middle East.

“We know GT operators care about maintaining the performance of their gas turbine. They want filters that work and don’t cause additional worries,” said Sennett. “The PRO SP+ helps remove those worries with its design and dust-holding capability.”

The PRO SP+ filter also handles both wet and dry particulates, and aims to protect the turbine from damage caused by salt, according to Parker

Formerly CLARCOR Industrial Air, Parker Gas Turbine Filtration supplies inlet systems and filters under the brands altair and clearcurrent.
